Forensic Consultation and Expert Witness Services

I provide forensic consultation and expert witness services for attorneys and the court in family law matters. These services are designed to support case analysis, clarify psychological issues, and assist counsel in understanding clinical and behavioral evidence relevant to family court proceedings.

Purpose of Forensic Consultation

Forensic consultation is used when attorneys or the court require expert input on psychological or family dynamics issues without engaging a full evaluation. Consultation services support informed decision making, case strategy, and assessment of evidentiary strengths and limitations.

Consultation does not involve treatment and does not include advocacy for any party.

Consultation Services Offered

Forensic consultation services may include:

Case consultation regarding psychological and behavioral issues
Review and analysis of records and prior evaluations
Assistance in refining referral questions or evaluation scope
Consultation regarding domestic violence dynamics and coercive control
Consultation related to allegations of alienation, estrangement, or abuse
Preparation for deposition or trial involving psychological evidence

Expert Witness Services

Expert witness services may include testimony related to evaluations I have conducted or consultation regarding psychological issues within my scope of expertise. Testimony is provided in accordance with court order, subpoena, or attorney request.

My role as an expert witness is to assist the trier of fact by offering objective, clinically grounded opinions rather than advocacy.

Neutrality and Role Clarity

My role in forensic consultation and expert witness services is neutral and independent. I do not provide treatment, coaching, or advocacy in the same matter.

Opinions offered are limited to the information reviewed and the specific questions posed by counsel or the court.

Reports and Written Opinions

When requested, written consultation opinions or summaries may be provided. These documents are focused, clearly reasoned, and limited to the scope of the consultation request.

Consultation reports are distinct from court ordered evaluations and do not substitute for comprehensive assessment.

How Forensic Consultation Differs From Evaluation Services

Forensic consultation differs from custody evaluations and psychological evaluations in scope and purpose. It does not involve original data collection through interviews or testing unless specifically ordered.

Consultation is appropriate when the court or counsel requires expert interpretation, analysis, or guidance rather than formal evaluation.

Practice Scope

Forensic consultation and expert witness services are provided only in court involved matters. This practice does not provide expert services in non-forensic contexts.

The evaluative approach and procedural framework used across family court services is described separately.
