I am a licensed psychologist in Washington State providing court focused psychological services for family law matters. My work is limited to court involved cases and attorney driven referrals, with services centered on child custody evaluations, parenting capacity evaluations, reunification therapy, court ordered psychological evaluations, and forensic consultation.
Family court matters often involve high conflict, entrenched positions, and significant emotional intensity. The work remains focused on the court’s referral questions, defined scope, and decision relevant information.
Family Court Services Offered
I offer the following family court services. Each service is defined by a clear scope and is described in more detail on its corresponding service page:
How These Services Are Typically Used
Family court services are selected based on the specific questions before the court and the procedural posture of the case. Not every matter requires a comprehensive custody evaluation. In some cases, more focused assessment or intervention is appropriate.
Custody evaluations are commonly used when the court requires a comprehensive assessment of parenting and child related factors. Parenting capacity evaluations are used when the court’s questions are narrower in scope. Reunification therapy is used when parent child contact has been disrupted and requires a structured, court ordered process. Court ordered psychological evaluations are used when discrete psychological questions must be addressed. Forensic consultation and expert witness services are used when attorneys require expert input related to family court matters.
Practice Scope and Referral Limits
Services are limited to court involved matters. Family court services do not provide ongoing therapy involving mental health concerns, insurance based services, general counseling, emergency services, or crisis response.
Service Area
Services are provided for cases based in Vancouver, Washington and Clark County, Washington, including surrounding jurisdictions in Southwest Washington. When inquiring, please include the court, county, and the specific service requested.
The evaluative approach and procedural framework used across family court services is described separately.
